Journey of Faith Church
Seismic upgrades to Worship Center building: new roof diaphragm, upper sill straps, roof purlin and joist connectors, tube steel support posts, front entrance replacement. Air conditioning addition: single HVAC unit located on grade at building exterior, ducted from stage side of building up through existing roof truss structure. Lighting improvements: replacement of down-lights, addition of accent lights, addition and replacement of stage spotlights.
Entrance modifications: replacement of structural and architectural elements, including tube steel, window wall construction, concrete footings. Construction of a catwalk over the stage and front seating area: structural steel frame, tension grid, ladder access, structural connections to existing roof trusses. Audio visual and acoustical modifications and enhancements, with provision for future equipment. Addition of interior wall and ceiling architectural features. Structural and architectural modifications to balcony: frame out balcony for increased slope to tiered seating and better line of sight. Architectural modifications: lobby finishes, relocation of lobby walls, replacement of pews for 700 person seating area, replacement of balcony pews with theater seats, acoustical panel additions, carpeting, audio control booth. Fire sprinkler installation . Cost: $1.7 Million, Complete: October 2004

Installed New custom built 30' x 9' insulated glass skylight and installed new single ply roof membrane over 6" rigid insulation. Removed existing mansard roof clay tile and installed new custom colored standing seamed metal roof, removed original stained glass panels and installed new window system. Added steel entrance canopy complete with new down lights, standing seam metal roof and plaster ceiling.
The existing interior ceiling plaster and lighting fixtures were removed and replaced with a new two layer drywall ceiling and over 120 down lights spaced in a random pattern.. The original Chancel wall and fabric system was removed and replaced with a new wall and fabric system utilizing new sound transmission material. Interior storage spaces were added and new 1876 sq upper balcony with audio visual mixing console along with a new fire alarm system.
Added 5 new HVAC roof top units with roof mounted duct work running along roof and down new interior shafts for air distribution. Provisions were made in the ductwork for future sound suppression system.
Cost: $2.1 Million, Complete: January 2007

Atherton Baptist Church
10,000 s.f. sanctuary, 2,500 s.f. balcony area. Sanctuary HVAC and Modernization.
Design-Build modifications to existing sanctuary including a new HVAC system to replace an aging heating-only system, new electrical service to the entire church campus, construction of new lighted soffits, replacement of sanctuary windows, and extensive modifications to the stage and choir areas including the addition of architectural steel & glass railings.
TG worked with the church to design and construct the desired modifications within their budget constraints. Cost: $312,000,
